Org Chart Generator: create hierarchies as a graphic
An org chart makes the structure of a company clear at a glance: who leads, who reports to whom, where each department sits. With this generator you create such a diagram directly in your browser and download it as a PNG.
An org chart contains the names and roles of employees, which is personal data. That is why this tool also runs entirely in your browser: nothing is uploaded and no server sees the structure. For an internal draft that is exactly the right answer, especially when you work with real names.
How to create an org chart
One entry per line, separated by a vertical bar: id | Name | Role | supervisor-id | color (optional). For example 2 | Bernd Schulz | Head of Sales | 1 | #2563eb. The supervisor-id links each person to their manager and builds the hierarchy. You can set a color per department.
Roles-only mode for public charts
If you want to show the structure without revealing names, enable "Roles only (no names)". The tool then draws only the functions, for example CEO, Head of Sales and Marketing. This makes the draft suitable for a public version or a team introduction.
Frequently asked questions
What is an org chart?
An org chart (organizational chart) shows the hierarchy and responsibilities of an organization as a diagram. It shows who reports to whom and how the departments are structured.
Are my data uploaded?
No. The org chart is drawn entirely in your browser. No data is uploaded, there is no sign-up and no server-side generation.
Can I work without names?
Yes. The "Roles only (no names)" mode draws the diagram without employee names and is therefore suitable for public organizational overviews.
Can I separate departments by color?
Yes. Add an optional color in the fifth column, for example a hex value like #4f46e5, and the matching box is highlighted in that color.
