Online Calculator: Standard and Scientific in One Tool
This online calculator combines an everyday standard calculator with a powerful scientific mode. It runs entirely in your browser, with no signup, no installation, and no input is sent to our server. All calculations happen locally on your device.
Standard mode for everyday use
Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, plus percentage, sign change, and a memory function (M+, M−, MR, MC, MS). A built-in history shows your recent calculations, which you can recall with one click.
Scientific mode for professionals
Switch to "Scientific" to get trigonometric functions (sine, cosine, tangent and their inverses), logarithms (ln, log), square and cube root, powers, factorial, reciprocal, absolute value, parentheses, and the constants Pi and e. Perfect for school, study and work.
Features at a glance
- Two modes: Standard and Scientific, switchable with one click.
- Keyboard control: Calculate straight from your keyboard (digits, +, −, *, /, %, ^, parentheses, Enter for equals).
- Memory function: M+ adds, M− subtracts, MR recalls, MS stores and MC clears.
- History: Every calculation is saved and can be restored with one click.
- German number format: Dot as thousands separator, comma as decimal separator.
- Privacy: 100 % client-side, your input is not transmitted to our server.
How the percent key works
The percent key divides the entered value by 100 (for example, 50 % gives the value 0.5). This makes it quick to calculate a share, such as 20 × 15 % for 20 percent of 15.
Frequently asked questions
Is the calculator really free?
Yes, all Studio Tools are free to use, with no signup and no hidden costs. You can use the standard and the scientific mode without any restrictions.
What unit does the scientific mode use?
Trigonometric functions work in radians. This matches the usual convention in mathematics and the sciences and delivers correct results for sine, cosine, and tangent.
Are my inputs stored?
No. All calculations run only in your browser. The history exists only for the current session and disappears after you close the page.
Which functions does the scientific mode offer?
You get trigonometric functions including their inverses, logarithms (ln, log), square and cube root, powers, factorial, reciprocal, absolute value, parentheses, and the constants Pi and e.
Can I calculate with my keyboard?
Yes. You can enter digits, basic operators, percent, powers, and parentheses directly from your keyboard and press Enter to show the result.
What does the memory function do?
M+ adds the current value to the memory, M− subtracts it, MR recalls the stored value, MS saves it, and MC clears it. This lets you reuse intermediate results conveniently.
