Timesheet Record working hours

The timesheet generator records daily working hours with date, from-to times, and activity, then creates a clear hours log as PDF. The total number of hours is automatically summed and displayed in a summary row. This gives employees, employers, and freelance contractors a clear overview of worked time at any time.

How it works

You enter the date, start time, end time, and a brief description of the activity for each working day. The generator calculates the difference between start and end and adds all daily hours to a grand total. For example, eight hours of work from nine to seventeen oclock yields 480 minutes or 8.0 hours. At an hourly rate of fifteen euros, the compensation is 120 euros. The timesheet suits mini-jobbers, working students, freelancers, and internal time tracking in small businesses.

What the tool can and cannot do

The timesheet reliably calculates working hours and creates a print-ready PDF with signature fields for employee and employer. It helps with accurate documentation of working time. However, it does not replace legal advice or payroll tax or social security verification. Compliance with the Working Time Act remains the responsibility of the respective parties.

What to consider for an hours log

The Working Time Act regulates maximum working hours, which are usually eight hours and can be extended up to ten hours under special circumstances. Breaks of thirty minutes are required for six to nine hours of work, and forty-five minutes beyond that. In many sectors there is also a recording obligation, even under the Evidence Act. Working time must therefore be carefully documented.

Why local processing in the browser

All calculations and PDF generation happen directly on your device. Your work data never leaves the computer; there is no server receiving or storing it. Once the page is loaded, the generator works offline too. You can adjust and regenerate the timesheet as often as you like without anything being saved or transmitted.

Frequently asked questions

How do I enter working hours

For each day you enter the date, start time, end time, and a brief activity description. The generator automatically calculates the difference.

Is the timesheet legally binding

It serves as a structural template and documentation. Legal validity depends on the circumstances and should be discussed with a specialist lawyer.

Can I use the timesheet offline

Yes, once the page is loaded the calculation works offline since everything happens locally in the browser.

Are my inputs saved

No. All calculations happen exclusively in your browser. Nothing is transmitted or stored on a server.

What about the Working Time Act

The Working Time Act regulates maximum hours and breaks. The generator documents the hours but does not perform any legal check.

Do I need to be online

The page needs to load once to provide the resources. After that the generator works offline.
