Travel budget splitter: who owes whom?
The travel budget splitter splits shared expenses on trips, flat-share evenings, parties or outings fairly and automatically. Enter who is involved and who paid what – the tool then calculates in seconds who owes whom how much.
How it works
Enter the names of everyone involved and add the shared expenses (e.g. dinner, rental car, hotel or groceries). For each expense you specify who paid it. All expenses are split evenly among everyone, and the tool finds the simplest settlement: it clearly shows who should transfer what amount to whom, so everyone ends up settled.
Why a digital splitter?
Especially on trips with several people, things add up quickly. Manual calculation often leads to misunderstandings and disagreements. A fair, transparent settlement saves arguments and protects the holiday mood.
Note
The tool assumes an even split of all expenses. If you want unequal shares (e.g. a family room), adjust the amounts accordingly. All inputs are processed exclusively in your browser.
Frequently asked questions
How is the settlement calculated?
Each expense is split evenly among everyone. The tool then compares who paid how much and finds the shortest payment chain so everyone ends up settled.
Can I reflect unequal shares?
By default it splits evenly. For different shares, adjust the expense amounts or split one expense into several entries.
