How it works
You start by entering the names of all flat-mates. Then you add shared costs: rent, electricity, groceries, cleaning supplies, shared subscriptions – and note who paid each. The calculator splits each expense evenly and works out the minimal settlement: who owes whom how much? The result shows the optimal payment chain so you make the fewest transfers possible.
What it can and cannot do
This tool calculates a fair settlement based on the costs and payments you enter. It cannot replace legal advice or assess contractual agreements between flat-mates. The division of rent and utilities depends on the rental contract or an individual agreement. The tool provides no legal counsel and no assessment of individual contractual relationships.
