Resize, crop and rotate images

The image resizer resizes images by width or height, crops them by dragging on the preview and rotates them in 90° steps. Unlike many resizers it also allows upscaling, not just downscaling. You can download the result as JPEG, PNG or WebP at any quality. Everything runs entirely locally in your browser; your images are never uploaded or stored.

How it works

Load an image, drag a crop box on the preview (double-click to reset), then set the output format, target width and/or height (0 = auto, aspect ratio is always preserved) and quality and click Apply. The finished image can be downloaded directly.

Formats

  • JPEG: compact, good for photos.
  • PNG: lossless, good for graphics and transparency.
  • WebP: modern and efficient, usually small at high quality.

The aspect ratio is always preserved. Cropping selects only the desired section before rotation and scaling.

Lossless SVG upscaling

If you choose an SVG file, it is re-rendered directly at the target resolution when upscaling instead of being stretched, so edges and lines stay crisp even at large sizes.

AI upscaling with local Real-ESRGAN

For photos and raster images you can enable the optional AI upscaler. The open-source Real-ESRGAN model recovers noticeably more detail when enlarging than conventional interpolation – in two tiers: Balanced (fast, for most images) or High quality (Real-ESRGAN-x4plus, best detail, ideal for smaller images). The resizer automatically detects very large images and points out possible quality loss with the fast model or a longer runtime with the high-quality model. Both models run entirely locally in your browser; your image never leaves your device.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. Processing happens entirely in your browser. Your images never leave your device.

Is the aspect ratio preserved?

Yes. Height is computed proportionally from the target width, so the image is not distorted.

How do I remove the crop?

Double-click the preview to clear the crop box and reset the image.

What is AI upscaling?

An optional feature that adds more detail when enlarging photos. It runs fully in your browser using the open-source Real-ESRGAN model.
