Holiday flat checklist: check before booking and save a PDF

The price works and the photos look good. Before you book, there are still questions: Is the road noisy, does parking cost extra and when is the cancellation deadline? This checklist puts those questions into five groups. Tick what you have checked yourself, add your own questions and record answers in the notes.

How it works

Work through location and surroundings, equipment, costs and payment, booking terms, and host and reviews. A tick means you checked the item, not that the listing meets your needs. Use the notes for any limitations. Select “Add your own item” to include a cot, a lift or permission to bring a dog.

“Create PDF” produces an A4 checklist with open and checked items, your notes, the date and a studio-tools.online credit line. Long notes continue on additional pages. “Copy as text” copies the checklist as plain text. If your browser blocks clipboard access, you can select and copy the text in the output field yourself.

What the tool can and cannot do

The list helps you record questions before booking. It does not access booking platforms, compare prices or verify photos, reviews or a host’s identity. Read the terms for the specific listing and ask about anything unclear. A fully ticked checklist is not a quality certificate or a legal assessment.

The PDF uses Helvetica. German umlauts and ß are supported; unsupported characters appear as question marks. Copying preserves your original text. The PDF records the current checklist as a document, not as interactive PDF form fields.

Why local processing in the browser

Your browser processes ticks, custom items and notes on your device. The tool does not send those entries to a server or save them in persistent browser storage. Save a PDF or copy the text before reloading or closing the page. Downloaded PDFs and copied text then exist outside the tool; you decide who receives them.

Frequently asked questions

What does the holiday flat checklist cover?

The template includes 22 items in five groups: location and surroundings, equipment, costs and payment, booking terms, and host and reviews. Topics include Wi-Fi, total price, deposit, cancellation deadlines and comparing photos with reviews.

Can I add my own items and notes?

Yes. Each group has a notes field and a field for custom items. Enter your item and select “Add your own item”. You can then tick it like any default item. The PDF and text include your additions.

What does a tick mean?

A tick only means you have checked the item. It is not confirmation from the host or proof that the property is safe or suitable. Record unanswered questions and limitations in the notes.

Are my data uploaded?

No. The tool processes your inputs 100 percent locally in your browser. It does not send ticks, custom items or notes to a server or save them in persistent browser storage.

Will my list remain after I close the page?

The tool does not provide permanent storage or an import for an old checklist. Export the current list as a PDF or copy the text before reloading or closing the page. The PDF records that version of your list; it is not a fillable form.

What if PDF creation or copying does not work?

If the PDF library is missing, the tool displays a message. Reload the page or use the text output. If your browser blocks the clipboard, select and copy the text manually. Unsupported characters appear as question marks only in the PDF; copied text stays unchanged.
