Elden Ring Name Generator
The Elden Ring name generator invents Tarnished names in the style of Elden Ring. You pick an origin and gender, the tool draws fitting first names and epithets from a large pool and shows them instantly.
Which origins are included?
- Five origins in the style of the game world: Limgrave, Caelid, Liurnia, Haligtree and the Badlands.
- Each origin has its own name pool: knightly-archaic for Limgrave, harsh for Caelid, scholarly Latin sounds for Liurnia and so on.
- Surnames are epithets and origins such as of Stormveil or of the Academy.
How does the generator work?
In Lore mode, the invented names follow the sound of the FromSoftware naming conventions. Famous characters such as Ranni, Melina or the demigods never appear, so your Tarnished gets a real original name. The random pick runs entirely in your browser.
What you can use it for
- New Tarnished for Elden Ring and Elden Ring Nightreign.
- Roleplay and co-op rounds with fitting character names.
- Fan fiction, build designs and community challenges.
Frequently asked questions
Are these real names from the game?
No, the Lore names are invented in the style of the game. Famous characters are deliberately left out, so you get an original name instead of a known NPC name.
Why origins instead of races?
Elden Ring has no races, only the origins of your Tarnished. The generator maps five cultural lines of the game world that differ in naming style.
How many names can I generate at once?
By default, you get one name per click. For a list, use the count selector to generate up to 50 names at once.
Is anything stored?
No, the generator runs entirely in your browser. There is no upload and no storage of your selection.
