Changelog

What changed on Studio Tools. Most tools process your inputs locally in your browser. Exceptions are the Website Auditor (server fetch) and the QR Code Generator (external service), each marked on the tool.

2026-09-18 (Zertifikat Ersteller: Wasserzeichen frei)

  • The "Created with Studio-Tools.online" notice in the certificate creator can now be freely shown or hidden via the advanced options. The e-mail confirmation (double opt-in) that was previously required to remove it was removed; no e-mail or IP addresses are stored any more, and the privacy policy was updated accordingly.

2026-08-21 (Playbook-Autofill: Erste eigene Wohnung)

  • Fixed an issue where values were not carried over between playbook steps. Steps now save their fields (net income, warm rent, etc.) and the next tool autofills its matching inputs.
  • The rent check now stores net income + warm rent + floor area, and the housing-cost / budget tools pick those up automatically.

2026-08-21 (Playbook-Fix: Erste eigene Wohnung)

  • Fixed the "My First Own Flat" playbook: the first step (rent affordability) now saves your net income and the flow prompts you on to the next step. All tools of this playbook now report finished steps, store their value locally in your browser and chain you through.

2026-08-21 (PDF-Fix)

  • Fixed PDF export in the certificate creator and the image-to-PDF converter. Both called the PDF library asynchronously but did not wait for it, which silently blocked the download. Both now generate real PDFs again.

2026-08-21 (Übergabeprotokoll-Dokument)

  • Handover report upgrade: now generates a full PDF document. Choose address, landlord and tenant, number of rooms and keys, then walk through the per-room checklist with defect notes and additional text. A clean printable PDF is created locally with the date, a "created on studio-tools.online" note and two signature fields for both parties (or their representatives).

  • Moving into your first flat: housing cost calculator (warm rent + electricity + internet + broadcast fee + water + insurance, as of 2026), WG cost splitter, handover report, household inventory and insurance check - plus a 9-step "My First Own Flat" playbook.

2026-08-21 (Inflation & Kaufkraft)

  • New inflation & purchasing-power calculator with three modes (purchasing power, product price, future projection). Uses the official destatis Consumer Price Index (base 2020 = 100, 1991–2025, as of 01/2026) for the past; the future is a clearly-labelled estimate based on your own assumption, not a forecast. Runs 100 % locally.

2026-08-21 (Lifestyle)

  • New Lifestyle cluster: time radar (24 h/168 h donut showing your remaining free time, PNG export), pet cost calculator (dog/cat by size, one-time + monthly + yearly + lifetime) and aquarium cost calculator (by tank litres, setup + running electricity with editable BDEW 2026 electricity price, freshwater/saltwater). Pet and aquarium are reference values (as of: 2026) and run 100 % locally.

2026-08-21 (Pendeln)

  • New commuting & travel tools (Commute cluster): commute calculator (car vs. Deutschlandticket), mileage/commuter allowance (0.38 €/km since 01/2026), travel budget calculator, travel expense splitter and packing list generator. All run 100 % locally and carry an as-of date with their sources.
  • Commute calculator: compares the Deutschlandticket (€63/month since 01/2026, job ticket €59.85) with all-in car costs (ADAC, ~0.35 €/km) and parking.
  • Mileage calculator: commuter allowance of 0.38 €/km for every kilometre since 01/2026 (Tax Amendment Act 2025, EStG § 9), one-way distance only.
  • Travel budget calculator: transport, hotel (~96 €/night Germany, IHA 2025), food (28 €/day allowance) and activities per trip.

2026-08-21 (Budget)

  • New budget tools (Budget cluster): household budget calculator (50/30/20), rent affordability check (30 % rule), moving cost calculator, emergency fund calculator and savings goal calculator. All run 100 % locally and carry an as-of date with their sources.
  • Moving cost calculator: deposit up to 3 cold rents (§ 551 BGB), van rental or moving company ranges (550–3,500 €, 2026), box and fuel costs (ADAC, 08/2026).
  • Rent affordability check: 30 % guideline on warm rent, with the average operating-cost figure of the German Tenants Association (2.67 €/m², as of 2025).

2026-08-22

  • Handover report expanded: choice of move-in / move-out, key count per type (front door, apartment door, mailbox, cellar, garage/space, other), checkboxes for additional areas (cellar, attic, garden, balcony, terrace, garage, parking space), meter number + reading for water / electricity / gas, a free-text equipment field (e.g. new fitted kitchen, fully furnished, no own meters) and counts for bathrooms, separate toilets and combined bath/WC. All of it is carried into the PDF.

  • New household tools (Haushalt): washing symbol explainer, cleaning plan generator, washing cost calculator, first apartment setup calculator and food storage guide. All run 100 % locally and carry an as-of date with their sources.
  • Washing cost calculator: cost per wash cycle using BDEW household electricity price, VEA water price and Öko-Test detergent costs (as of 08/2026), all adjustable to your own tariff.
  • First apartment calculator: cost ranges (new and used) for kitchen, bedroom, living room, bathroom, small items and washing machine, in three budget levels (as of 08/2026).
  • Food storage guide: fridge, freezer and pantry storage times based on BZfE and Verbraucherzentrale, with sensory-check and best-before vs use-by-date notes.

2026-08-17

  • Accuracy: the "100 % local processing" badge is now per tool. The Website Auditor shows "Server fetch, local analysis" and the QR Code Generator "External QR service", each with a clarifying note, instead of the generic local-processing claim.
  • Content: the Website Auditor description and SEO text were expanded (clear list of checks, FAQ, honest limits) and its "100 % local" claim corrected.
  • Licenses: added exifreader (MPL-2.0), piexifjs (MIT) and @contentauth/c2pa-web (MIT) to the licenses page.
  • Content: the token counter description now mentions both tokenizers (cl100k_base and o200k_base).
  • Privacy: the QR Code Generator now renders the QR code fully in your browser (via qrcodejs, like the other QR tools) instead of the external api.qrserver.com service. Your input no longer leaves your device, and the tool is marked "100 % local processing" again.
  • Security: the Website Auditor server fetch was hardened against SSRF. All DNS records are resolved and checked (any private, loopback or link-local address is blocked), curl is pinned to the validated public IP, and every redirect hop is re-validated before following.
  • Security: the Website Auditor fetch endpoint is now rate limited. Audits require a short-lived, IP-bound signed token (issued via a throttled endpoint), each IP is limited to a number of audits per time window, and repeated requests for the same URL are served from a short cache. No data is stored long-term.

2026-08-15

  • Added: Methodology page explaining the client-side processing, libraries, sources, testing and versioning behind every tool.
  • Corrected: salary calculator contribution assessment ceiling updated from EUR 100,200 to EUR 101,400 for 2026 (rent/unemployment), matching the officially published 2026 figure (Deutsche Rentenversicherung).
  • Compliance: barcode generator now carries a GTIN/EAN note clarifying that only the graphical representation is created and it does not issue official GTIN/EAN numbers (those are issued by GS1).

  • Compliance: reworded the E-Rechnung tool from "XRechnung-konform" to "XRechnung CII 3.0 (EN 16931)" and added a prominent beta/validator notice.

  • Added: "100% local" trust badge on every tool.
  • Added: structured data (JSON-LD) for better search results.
  • Added: improved keyboard accessibility (visible focus, screen-reader announcements).
  • Fixed: sitemap and language hreflang tags verified correct.
  • Added: token counter now supports the o200k_base tokenizer (GPT-4o, GPT-4.1, o1) in addition to cl100k_base.
  • Added: UUID generator now supports time-sorted UUID v7 in addition to v4.
  • Added: hash generator now offers a file input and the CRC32 checksum, plus an uppercase option.
  • Wording: all file tools now say "load" instead of "upload" (DE: "laden" instead of "hochladen") in buttons and texts, so nothing suggests data is sent to a server.

Earlier

Earlier releases added the mobile menu, the dark/light theme, the installable-app support (PWA) for every tool, and the E-Rechnung generator.
