Title Case
The Title Case converter capitalizes the first letter of every word in your text. Whether for headings, titles, or article names: the tool transforms your input into consistent Title Case formatting for a polished look. Everything happens directly in your browser with no data transfer whatsoever.
How it works
The tool analyses your input text word by word and capitalizes the first letter of each word. All remaining letters stay in their original form, unless they were already capitalized, in which case they are converted to lowercase. A concrete example: the phrase "ein beispiel für titelfall" becomes "Ein Beispiel Für Titelfall". Another example: "the quick brown fox" yields "The Quick Brown Fox". The rule is simple: every word start gets a capital letter and everything else stays as it is. The tool detects word boundaries by spaces and can therefore process multi-line texts correctly as well.
What the tool can and cannot do
The Title Case converter can transform any text into capital-letter-at-start format. It works with German, English, and mixed-language text alike. However, the tool does not recognize English minor words like "and", "the", or "of" that are often kept lowercase in traditional title styling. It applies the rule strictly to every word, which is advantageous for a simple use case but does not match the typographic conventions of all style guides. The tool is also not a spell checker and will not correct typos in the rest of the text.
Why local processing in the browser
Everything happens directly on your device. Your text inputs are never sent to a server, there is no upload and no server logs storing your data. You need neither an account nor a sign-up. Once the page has loaded, the tool works offline too because all resources are cached in the browser. There is no server to attack and nothing is transmitted over the network. You can try endlessly, enter different texts, and discard results, because nothing is stored or tracked.
Frequently asked questions
Does the tool work with German text?
Yes, the Title Case converter works with any German or English text. Every word gets its first letter capitalized, regardless of the language.
Do I need to be online?
No, after the page has loaded once, the Title Case converter works offline. All calculations happen locally in your browser.
Are my data uploaded?
No, your text inputs are never sent to a server. Processing happens exclusively on your local device, with no upload and no third parties.
Does the tool also lowercase existing capital letters?
The tool capitalizes the first letter of each word and leaves all other letters unchanged. If a word was already capitalized and followed by lowercase letters, those are preserved.
Can I edit the text after conversion?
The tool generates the result automatically. If you want to modify it manually, you can copy the result and adjust it in another text editor.
Is there a limit on text length?
The tool supports practically no length limit. You can enter texts as long as you wish. Even very long paragraphs are processed word by word correctly.
