Local and private storage
Your notes stay in your browser's LocalStorage. There is no account, cloud sync, or data transfer. Export a backup file when you want to move notes to another browser.
Frequently asked questions
Where are my notes stored?
All notes are stored only in your browser's LocalStorage. They stay there even after you close the tab and never leave your computer.
Are my notes private?
Yes, there is no account, no cloud and no data transfer. Your notes stay 100 percent on your device, and no one else can access them.
Can I move my notes to another device?
Yes, using the JSON export. You can save the file and import it again on another device, for example after switching browsers.
How can I organize my notes?
You can position the notes freely on the board with drag and drop, sort them by color, and use the search field to find specific content quickly.
Which colors are available?
Yellow, green, blue, pink and orange. The colors help you tell notes apart by importance or category, for example urgent tasks in orange.
How do I import a backup?
Use the import function to load a JSON file you exported earlier. The notes it contains will then be shown again in your browser.
Can I restore notes I deleted?
Yes. Deleted notes go to the trash, where you can restore them or delete them permanently. You can also undo accidental steps.
Can I pin and resize notes?
Yes. Pin notes so they stay on top, and drag the corner of a note to resize it.
