What makes a secure password

What does the estimated crack time mean?
It is computed from the possible character space and the password length (entropy) and gives a rough estimate of how long an attacker with typical hardware would need for a brute-force attack. It illustrates the difference between a weak and a strong password, but is not an exact guarantee.
Which passwords does the checker flag as especially weak?
The checker spots clear patterns such as sequential numbers and repeated characters. It also compares your password against a built-in blacklist of the most common passwords from data breaches.
