Barcode generator for common formats

The barcode generator creates barcodes in common formats such as CODE128, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, CODE39 and ITF-14. You enter the code, choose the format and download the result as a PNG.

Formats at a glance

  • CODE128 supports letters, digits and special characters.
  • EAN-13 and EAN-8 need exactly 8 or 13 digits, typical for retail products.
  • UPC-A is used in North America for retail.

The barcodes suit labels, price tags, warehouses and shipping. Generation runs entirely in your browser, no server is needed for processing.

GTIN/EAN note: This tool only creates the graphical representation of a barcode. It does not issue official GTIN/EAN numbers. Officially assigned, globally unique GTIN/EAN numbers for retail are issued exclusively by GS1. Codes you create here with EAN-13, EAN-8 or UPC-A are therefore intended only for internal labelling (labels, warehouse, shipping), not for official retail.
