Alternating Case
The alternating case tool transforms your text into an alternating sequence of uppercase and lowercase letters in the classic sArCaStIc style. The result is a visually striking format particularly suited for creative texts, logos, and greetings. The browser handles the entire transformation, so not a single character of your input ever leaves your device.
How it works
The tool scans each letter of your text and alternates between uppercase and lowercase starting from the first character. The first letter becomes uppercase, the second lowercase, the third uppercase, and so on. A concrete example: the sentence "Hallo Welt" becomes "HaLlO WoLt". Spaces and punctuation marks remain unaffected and serve only as positional placeholders in the counting sequence. The alternation is strictly position-based and does not depend on the original casing.
What the tool can and cannot do
The tool can convert any text into alternating case. It works with German umlauts, numbers, and special characters, each preserving their position. However, it cannot perform grammatical correction or produce actual typography or font styling. The output is pure character substitution, not an optical transformation. The tool is not suitable for formal documents and does not change the meaning of the text, only its visual representation.
